Ruach, breath, wind or spirit, is spirit in general.

In that sense ruach, like Purusha is also used to indicate (universal) soul, which is spirit in a denser form.

ruach kadosh however, or Holy Spirit is equivalent to Brahman or Atman, the Spirit.
