Origen (Origenes) was speaking of Sheol, (she'oul ah; old Egyptian for thirsting for life; longing for earthly life.) which is often translated with Hell or infernos, grave or memory grave or what have you, but was in fact like Hades (Greek), or the Halls of Amenti (Egypt) where souls were kept according to their amount of Spirit. A lot of them consequently were shades of what they used to be. These halls were great underground spaces, caves. In The cave of treasures Adam has to live in a cave after being thrown out of Paradise before he walks the Earth. Aztec myths and alsoTuatha de Danaan and even Inuit myths (Eskimos) speak of ancient caves from where they appeared as first people. These could in fact be the other earth's mentioned in the Jewish Hagadah.
