NEMESIS; Astronomers have long speculated about a brown, or black, dwarf or giant planet in an elliptical orbit around the Sun, calling their hypothetical candidate "Nemesis", a name alluding to their assumptions about the disastrous effect such a usurper would have on the Solar System.  Astronomers have speculated about a companion star around the Sun before.  After all, most other star systems are at least binary stars.  Ours seems to be an exception. Its orbital period is almost certainly variable, with the periodicity of 3600 years serving only as an archetypal approximation.  Currently, its orbit seems to be expanding and its periodicity increasing.  Nibiru did not appear at the time of the Exodus, as many have erroneously concluded from the work of Immanuel Velikovsky, but in 3760 BC, at the start of the Nippurian calendar and Hebrew count of years (as Sitchin himself has argued).  Its last orbital period appears to have been as long as 3784 years, with its appearance triggering the Messianic fervor in the Middle East 2000 years ago.

The 12th Planet could well be the Messianic Star.  Remarkably, its appearance was documented by the famous Roman writer, Seneca.  Astronomers, anxious to resolve the mystery of Seneca's anomalous description of Sirius, have taken on face value the assumption that his description of a 'piercing red' star was Sirius itself.  Yet it couldn't have been, as Sirius is white.  However, his testimony fits the predictions of the Dark Star Theory precisely.  The brightness of Nibiru at its brightest point near Sirius outshone the brightest star in our skies!

According to the ancient Mesopotamians, the Sun's sister 'star', as dark and inconspicuous as it is, plays host to alien life, the origins of which are common with our own life on Earth.  The Dark Star has up to 7 moons.  This Dark Companion of the Sun seems to have its own habitable planetary system, Home to the mythical 'gods' of the ancient world.

The Sumerians described a fiery 'planet' which follows an elliptical orbit around the Sun, remaining hidden to observers on Earth for millennia at a time.  It is currently at its furthest point from us.  Even given the incredible distances involved, our scientists are now capable of detecting its presence.  Its vast orbit millions of years ago caused the precipitation of comets into the solar system.  Orbital configurations of long‑period comets have been analyzed thoroughly by two independent scientists, Drs. Murray and Matese, and have consistently shown non‑random clustering in the Oort Cloud.  This data indicates the presence of a massive planet in the Oort Cloud millions of years ago.  Despite its presence having been detected indirectly, it has not yet been pinpointed by a telescope or sky survey.  Nevertheless, we do appear to be living in a rather bizarre binary system.

The data provided by the astronomers matches the Sumerian celestial mythology, in terms of the nature of the planet itself, its proposed location in the sky and the angle its orbital plane makes with the ecliptic.  Its furthest point from the Sun (aphelion) lies towards the Solar Apex, and its closest point (perihelion) is the Egyptian Duat.

The Sumerians held it that the early Solar System was violently altered by the interjection of a wandering planet.  This planet was a mighty world which had been traveling through the void, with its company of moons, before falling under the influence of our Sun.  It ploughed through the outer system of planets and ended up in an extremely elliptical orbit well out of kilter with the plane of the ecliptic.  The point where its perihelion crossed the ecliptic was in the band between Mars and Jupiter, the place of "The Crossing" as the Sumerians called it.

At that time, a planet existed there, as predicted in modern times by Bode's Law.  This watery world was known as Tiamat, but it was fated to encounter the mighty Nibiru during one of the latter's crossings.  In fact, Tiamat was struck by one of Nibiru's moons, a collision that sent the shattered remains of the watery planet into various orbits around the Sun.  The gouged core of Tiamat, and one of it's moons, called Kingu, fell into the inner Solar System to become the Earth and Moon.  Other fragments followed Nibiru to become the comets, whilst still others settled into immediate orbits around the Sun as asteroids.

The Dark Star Theory shows how the heretical knowledge of Nostradamus allowed him to describe its next perihelion passage, and the environmental catastrophe that he predicted for 3797AD.  It offers proof that NASA may have been  aware of the dark star decades ago, and may even have sent Voyager 1 towards it in order to confirm its presence.

If the Moon has sprung from the Earth as the result of a collision with a Comet, how is it that the Moon is made up out of lighter material than the Earth, which makes it impossible to sustain an atmosphere like the Earth does by its gravitational force?

The application of zero-velocity surfaces (a mathematical technique) to the sun-earth-moon, three-body system indicates that the eccentricity of the earth's orbit renders the system unstable. The conclusion is that the moon may one day escape the earth and become a planet and, turning the situation around, that the origin of the moon by capture is a strong possibility. (Szebehely, V., and McKenzie, R.; "Stability of the Sun-Earth-Moon System," Astronomical Journal, 82:303, 1977.)

This of course implies an event that caused the moon to be captured in the first place.

Pluto now known as a "Dwarf Planet"
Based on IAU news release of 24 Aug 2006.

In the past few years you frequently heard astronomers claiming they have "discovered the 10th planet". One after the other, discoveries of "planet nr. 10" came rolling in...

Pluto forms part of a huge asteroid belt somewhat behind the orbit of Neptune. Thousands and thousands of large space rocks orbit the sun just like the planets do. This area is called the "Kuiperbelt". It is something we did not learn in school and which was not standard in text books.

Astronomers have found over 1,000 Kuiperbelt objects since 1992 (Newsweek 4 Sept. 2006). Some of them are larger than Pluto and probably also round. Suddenly some structure was necessary to the whole definition of what a planet is!

At its General Assembly in August 2006, the governing astronomical body of the world (International Astronomical Union) came up with a definition of a "planet" and unfortunately Pluto did not meet the criteria. It does however, meet the definition of a "dwarf planet", together with a few other dwarfs already discovered.

It has now become more important than ever to teach children about the great Kuiperbelt and what lies beyond. It will help broaden our perspective of the scale of the solar system, which is much larger than we came to realize. Pluto will be seen as a symbol of our need to better understand the size and origins of our solar system.
