In Iranian mythology Adam Kasia is the hidden Adam, also called Adam Qadmaia.  Among the Mandean (south Iraq and south west Iran) it is the (intelligent) soul of every human; the higher Self.  He shows many similarities with the Jewish Adam Kadmon.

Adam Kadmon however is a kabalistic term, that later came to be identified with the messiah and was contrasted with the devil Adam Belial, as if there were two universal souls called Adam.

Adam Kadmon literally means Original Man; man as he was intended to be, before his fall; a soul "overshadowed" by the Holy Spirit.  Adam Belial, literally; useless man, was the same soul after his fall; the soul with a lack of Spirit, more like the animal soul; the lower Self.

The animal soul is comparable to the Hindu word "Purusha".
