Tartaros is like the very bottom of Hades. The worst place to be. Tartaros, sometimes called Orcus from the Greek horcos an oath, is where the fallen angels reside, bound apparently by the oath they swore at mount Hermon.

For God did not spare angels when they had sinned, but hurling them down to Tartarus consigned them to caves of darkness, keeping them in readiness for judgement.  2Pe 2:4

And I measured out the whole earth, its mountains, and all hills, fields, trees, stones, rivers, all existing things I wrote down, the height from earth to the seventh heaven, and downwards to the very lowest hell, and the judgment-place, and the very great, open and weeping hell. And I saw how the prisoners are in pain, expecting the limitless judgment. 2 Enoch 40;9

I saw the guardians of hell standing at the large gates, their faces like those of great serpents, and their eyes like extinguishing lamps, exposing their fangs. 2Enoch 42;1

These great serpents may very well be the Hindu Naga's that are told to live in underground places. Tartaros, or the Pit is the lowest region of Hades or Sheol, comparable to the Hell of Dante, where the unconvertible evil souls in thick darkness await their judgment that will take place in Gehenna, the fiery pit of destruction. Since there is no Light left in your soul, this darkness permeates your entire being like a suffocating black fog. Tartaros is comparable to the Hindu Avichi.

But it is worst in Hvergelmir: There the cursed snake tears dead men's corpses." Gylfaginning 52, Proze Edda

Several people claim to have been brought to Hell and returned to life again and this movie may be an eye-witness acount of one of them.
