and would produce the first soul to conquer death
(Jesus).

dost ask after my name?" And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of
the place Peniel that is, The face of God: "For I have seen God face to face,
and my life is preserved." And
as he
passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him,
and he limped upon his thigh.
Peniel may be the origin of the Greek Phanuel which means "Fire of God" and is the exact translation of the name Uriel an angel of the Presence of God; the Acherusian Lake of fire one has to cross approaching God.
