This page is about Sumerian gods mentioned by name in the Bible as our Lords; the meaning of the word Yahweh and origin of the word Yah.

There’s only one true God;

(and a lot of angels...)

It is like it is said in the Koran;

Allah is One God

 Your God is One God

We believe in Allah, the One God

Koran Su 4;171

Su 2:163

Su 40;84

The Koran in many places refers to Allah as the highest God,

the God of the Jewish Tenach, which is the Christian Old Testament...

.

We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: We sent inspiration to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Issa (Jesus), Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon,

Su 4:163  Section 23.

.

...where God is named YAH, (IH) or  IHWH;

Sing to God, sing praises to his name:

extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name YAH, and rejoice before him. Ps 68:4

The Lord said to Moses, I am Yahwèh. Ex 6:29

IHWH; Yah-wèh; Lord One; first Lord.

The American Standard version 1901, ASV translates IHWH with Jehovah;

Hear, Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah . De 6:4 ASV

The use of the word Jehovah here, suggests that it is a title.

Which it is...

The "wèh" in Yahwèh (IHWH) most likely is derived from the same root as “wèchid”, which means “one” in Arabic. The Samaritans pronounced it Ya. Ancient Arabs already worshipped a mountain god Yahwèh on the peninsula of Sinai whom they also called Yauk or Yach (Yahu (Iao)-Wèch, or Yah-wèch). In the Jewish tongue the guttural ending of the word has softened into Yahwèh.  The Shilluk people living on the western bank of the Nile in The Sudan still pronounce the name of the Supreme Being as; YWOK. A similar root has been explained from the Arabic concerning the EL of Elohim, as meaning "to be in front," "to be foremost," "to lead," "to rule," which would give the meaning "leader," "lord."; the First; Lord One. This inherent meaning of the name goes back all the way to ancient Sumer. We-Ila was the "one god" that was slaughtered in order to apply his BLOOD and FLESH for the creation of Man.

The only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 1:4

It is like it says;

Shema Israel, Adonai Elohenu, Adonai Echod.

Or, as it is written;

Shema Israel; Yahwèh elohenu, Yahwèh echod;

De 6:4

Hear Israel; One Lord is our God; One Lord only.

or actually;

.

Hear Israel; Lord One is our God, Lord One alone.

.

Or, as Jesus said; (had he spoken Greek, the language of the Gospel of Marcus.)

.

(Akoue Israel, Kyrios o theos èmon Kyrios eis estin.)

.

Hear Israel, the lord our God is Lord One.

Mr 12:29

Yahwèh is a title for the highest Lord.

The word Yah is used by many different nations in many variations, to indicate their highest god.

.

Iah, Iahu, Iaho, Iaio, Iao, Ie, Ieow, Ieu, Ieuo, IeuoYw, Ioav, Iovi, Iehova, IHWH, Jave, Jove, Jehova, Jehovah, Ayeba, Ba, Ba-el, Bel, Baal, Bao, Bog, Boh, Buh, Chihova, Kowe, Deva, Shiva, Shiwa, Jeu, Du, Duw, Dia, Dieu, Dieux, Dyaus, Dyauz, Dioz, Dios,Theos, Ju, Ju-on, Jah, Ya, Yaë, Yah, Yaheh, Yahi, Ahi, Akua, Akui, Yahu, Yahuh, Yahveh, Yao, Yau, Yah-el, Yave, Yaw, Yawu, Yawèh, Jwok, Ye, Yeho, Iehova, Yehovah, Yehu, Yhw, IHWH, YwIah, Iahu, Iaho, Iaio, Iao, Ie, Ieow, Ieu, Ieuo, IeuoYw, Ioav, Iovi, Iehova, IHWH, Jave, Jove, Jehova, Jehovah, Ayeba, Ba, Ba-el, Bel, Baal, Bao, Bog, Boh, Buh, Chihova, Kowe, Deva, Shiva, Shiwa, Jeu, Du, Duw, Dia, Dieu, Dieux, Dyaus, Dyauz, Dioz, Dios, Theos, Ju, Ju-on, Jah, Ya, Yaë, Yah, Yaheh, Yahi, Ahi, Akua, Akui, Yahu, Yahuh, Yahveh, Yao, Yau, Yah-el, Yave, Yaw, Yawu, Yawèh, Jwok, Ye, Yeho, Iehova, Yehovah, Yehu, Yhw, IHWH, Yw

.

It doesn't necessarily mean that this is the same god.

.

 The word Yahwèh means simply means; Lord One, or the "First Lord", or "First in command".

The use of titles like that is not uncommon in both church and state.

..

.Archangel, Archbishop, Archdeacon, Archduke,  Archistrategos, Architect, Archon, First in command, First-born, Firstling, First-Lord, First-man, Oneness, Oner, Only one, Prelate, Premier, Presbyter, President, Prester, Priest, Prima Donna, Primate of York, Primate of all England, Prime-Minister, Prince, Principal, Principality, Prior, Priory, Protagonist, Senior, The One.Archangel, Archbishop, Archdeacon, Archduke,  Archistrategos, Architect, Archon, First in command, First-born, Firstling, First-Lord, First-man, Oneness, Oner, Only one, Prelate, Premier, Presbyter, President, Prester, Priest, Prima Donna, Primate of York, Primate of all England, Prime-Minister, Prince, Principal, Principality, Prior, Priory, Protagonist, Senior, The One.

..

Ancient priests and scholars didn't like to use the term "First Lord", Yahwèh, because

it would imply that there were more lords,

hence more than one god,

while they were teaching that there's only one God.

Which is strange, because the Bible is packed with gods, whether  angelic or demons.

Yahwèh simply means; the "first Lord", like an Archangel is the first lord over his realm.

This title however, may also denote the First Lord over everything; all creation; God Himself, the source of everything there is. To Him, although He also has a secret Name, known only by a few, it is like a name.

To the others, the angels or "lesser gods" it is a title.

   For though there are those who have the name of gods, in heaven or on earth, as there are a number of gods and a number of lords, There is for us only one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we are for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we have our being through him. 1Co 8;5 BBE

They have (are of) the same Spirit;

.

God is the well, Jesus is the river and the Spirit is the water.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Now;

.

The Muslims say Allah,

the Jews (don't) say Yahwèh,

the Christians say God, or Jehovah

but what is his name?

In the West also different meanings were given to the Tetragrammaton (four letters) IHWH, like for instance;

.

- I am -,    or,    - I am here for you -

.

and more of those efforts, but it just does not feel right to literally translate the above sentence with;

"I am our God."

or;

"I am here for you is our God, I am here for you only."

 .

"Ego sum qui sum" (Vulgata), "I am that which I am", or; “I am that I am” according to most translations, was the answer God gave to Moses, upon being asked who he was;

Ahyah asher ahyah.

(ehyeh asher ehyeh)

Ex 3:14

and, he said…;

You will say Ahyah sent me…

So, if anything He’s name should be Ahyah.

.

Ahyah asher ahyah

would then read;

It is Ahyah who I am.

.

In Malayan the word Ayah means father.

.

Now,

Ahyah, or Aya also is the Hindu name of the most high God personality,

represented by Krishna.

Ahyah, is used to indicate Brahma,

God as creator.

Veiled by My divine Maya, I am not known by all.

Therefore, the ignorant one does not know Me as Aya (unborn) and eternal Brahman.

Bhagavad-Gita 7.25

.

One who knows Me as Aya (unborn), the beginningless

Supreme Lord (Ishuara) of the universe,

is considered wise among the mortals,

and gets liberation from the bondage of Karma.

B.G.10.03

These names originate from the Vedas and the Vedas are brought to India by so called Aryan invaders.

.

.

.

.

There is of course a great similarity between the name

Ahya

.

and the name of the Babylonian uppergod

Ea

Ea, or Enki as he was called in Sumer (Mesopotamia) was living in the Apsu (Portal of Wisdom) after he had conquered it, the male (inner) waters that were surrounded by the darker female waters; Tiamat (Mother of life). Apsu and Tiamat, the two Leviathans. In other words, he made his Home in the area of the inner (or higher) primal waters, the enormous area within the expanding universe, that after the Big Bang due to centrifugal forces was emptied of matter and was pervaded by pure energy, light or spirit (there be light.). Or better yet, this close to te source in our expanding universe, matter hadn't evolved yet. This area was / is empty of matter. The sweet waters around the center; Paradise, (Pairah Daizu) walled in garden, (a familiar concept in Babylon) walled in by the shell of the Egg of Brahma, the firmament, the Cosmos; the expansion the Bible speaks of in Genesis. Close to the center, be it in the Universe or in our Galaxy, (and maybe in our Earth and metaphysically, deep within ourselves) is where Paradise is situated. In Sumer this Paradise was called Apsu.

“Therefore I will go to the Apsu, and live with my lord Ea.”

Gilgamesh epic 11;42

 It is said in the Bible that

The Jews traveled around a lot, and picked up thoughts and ideas along the way. Abraham originally came from Sumer. This is where the Semites were living before Abraham packed his things around 1800 BC and left for the promised land, leaving the thriving moon cults behind him. The story is, that the Sumerian uppergod Enlil seduced the goddess Ninlil, after which she gave birth to the moon, Nanna or Sin and some underworld deities. Enlil, although he (still) was the king of the gods was banished to the underworld for this by the counsel of gods. Ninlil also was called Mulliltu (Lady Lillith). My guess is that Abraham, though Enlil was considered King of the gods, thought and taught that Enki (later known as Ea) should have that right, which didn’t fall well with the priests of his time. Since his own father was a highpriest, they, at the advise of (the first Lord of) God, Enki in order to avoid consequences, left the country, taking the stories with him. The creational stories and the flood stories contain many elements of Babylonian thoughts. The Psalms, and especially the hymns and Lamentations, up to their rhythmical design, and in no less degree the Old testimonial law collections are greatly influenced by Babylon.

The name Ea most probably is the origin of the Hebrew word Yah.

The word Yah, lord, is used as a prefix and as a suffix in lots of biblical names like Joel, Yeshua (Jesus), Isaiah and Jeremiah. There are several high angels with the suffix IHWH behind their name to be found in the third book of Enoch. Eight of them were even higher than the archangel Metatron. Ahyah IHWH, in Hebrew understanding, would literally mean; I am Lord One. Or; I am the only Lord, which may have been the reason that the uttering of this name was forbidden.

Now, in the book Isaiah 51;12 you will read;

anoki, anoki hawa menachem.

This is translated with;

“I (am), I am your comforter“,

but anoki could also be the name of Enki the old Sumerian god, who made his Home in Apsu, paradise, maker of al the gods that exist, the wise one, maker of man. The Hebrew spelling is correct.

In that case it reads;

I am Enki, your comforter.

Anoki Anoki Yahwèh wayin muvla’adi meshia;

I (am), I am the one Lord and besides me there is no messiah. Isa 43;11

would then read;

I am Enki the First Lord and besides me, there is no messiah.

So here we have the names of Ea and Enki, equivalents of each other, identified in the Bible as being IHWH, Yahwèh,

the First Lord.

Enki can be connected to "other" gods as well;

Jewish/Christian

God (Elohim; the gods) wanted to flood the world, but told Noah to build an ark,

Sumerian;

Enlil wanted to flood the world, Enki had Atrahasis build an ark to escape the flood.

Assyrian;

Ellil wanted to flood the world. The god Ea in a dream warned Utnapishtim. (Uta-Noah-Pishtim; Radiant Noah the pious one)

Zoroastrian;

Ahura Mazda (wise lord) warned Yima to build a vara, 'fortress or estate.

Greek;

Zeus sent a flood to destroy the men of the Bronze Age. Prometheus (forethought; who thinks ahead.) advised his human son Deucalion (to Purify by washing) to build a chest.

Hindu;

Vishnu (all-pervader) warned Manu the first man, in the shape of a Fish to build a boat.

Enki is the equivalent of the Persian god Ahura Mazda (Wise Lord), the Hindu god Vishnu ...

represented by the Greek as Prometheus, (Forethought of one who thinks ahead; reason) and he is certain to be the equivalent of the Sumero/Assyrian god Ea.

By the way,

Anu was no Reptilian Alien like Sitchin claimes in his books and is still taken over, reproduced and twisted into their own fantasies by countless bloggers on the internet. Neither was Anu one of the Anunaki.

An, or Anu's name literally meant "spirit", he was even called Holy An; Holy Spirit.

Enki, the king of the Abzu, justly praises himself in his majesty: "My father, the king of heaven and earth, made me famous in heaven and earth.  My elder brother (Enlil), the king of all the lands, gathered up all the divine powers and placed them in my hand.  ... I am the leader of the Anuna gods. I was born as the firstborn son of Holy AN.

Enki and the world order, 61-80

I do not understand how Sitchin could have missed this.

Enki and Enlil were no "Reptilian halfbrothers".  What nonsense!

Enki was the son of An (spirit) and Nammu, the primal waters; Galactic energy.

Enlil (soul) lord of ghosts was the son of An (spirit) and Ki (Earth). No "Reptoids" there.

Enki was no astronaut, like often is claimed;

 and neither was he a "Reptoid" or "the Serpent" - "Because the Serpent was wise".

Surely you don't have to be a serpent to be wise.

 *

In those days, the one with the cunning grasp,

the maker of all the gods that exist;

Enki,

was resting in the middle of the deep waving sea, (Absu)

where no one dares to stare....

the god, the holy lamb rose from his deep meditation,

the wise, cunning (canny, ingenious), artful creator of every shape ...

(Enki and Ninmah; the creation of mankind.10,25)

The Apsu; "portal of wisdom" is the Sumerian word for Paradise.

The walled in garden where the righteous go.

Walled in by the waters of Creation and the material expansion or firmament.

It was where Gilgamesh hoped to go at his death.

“Therefore I will go to the Apsu, and live with my lord Ea.”

Gilgamesh epic 11;42

Enki, waters of creation flowing from his shoulders, in the center of the Absu,

which is not the Underworld; near the center of the earth,

but the area near the center of the world

Paradise, Heaven-earth;

spirit-world;

En-Ki.

What is on earth also is in heaven.

He is like Brahma living in his Egg of Creation.

He is Ehyeh, he is Ea, or Yah. He is like God; He is Michael.

 Enki fits in perfectly in the Father, good son, bad son traditions of World religions.

God Atum Anu Zervan Brahma
Michael - Satan Horus - Seth Enki - Enlil Ahura Mazda – Ahriman Vishnu - Shiva

Enki is known to the Massai as Engai. Their expression

‘Engai Engai; Engai nabo”

means;

God is God, God alone.

or;

Engai is Lord, Engai alone.

God is an eternal God;

He is not an invention of Abraham, Buddha, Mohammed or Jesus.

He is

E T E R N A L

He existed long before them.

Throughout history, He was recognized and named by nations and religions, who, in their own language called Him the Highest God and Creator of everything there is; the Father of all other gods; the creator of all angels.

This One God expressed himself through his power, his Holy Spirit, in our cycle, our dimension if you will, our world.

He so to speak gave birth to a son, he put in charge, his number One, the one we know as the First Lord, the Arm of God, Father in heaven, Brahma, The creator God, because he, through this power, created all that is, including the angels and archangels that sometimes were worshipped by people as gods, especially the fallen ones.

This Son however, because of the same Spirit, is the same as God, the same Spirit.

It is as if God is reaching with his arm into the waters of our dimension.

These waters are like a well-lit aquarium in which he wanted to arrange things.

We, the fish in this aquarium, only see the arm, but we cannot see what is beyond it.

1

God poured his Spirit, his energy into our dimension. (At what we know as the Big Bang.)

2

This spirit or energy, called into being the primal higher- (spirit) and lower waters (matter). (Sumerian Anu and Ki.)

3

From these lower waters, combined with energy of the higher waters, emerged living matter; life.

many

Life became all mineral, (we do have teeth and bones) vegetable and animal forms of life; all things that exist.

The Tao begot one,
One begot two,
Two begot three.
The three begot the ten thousand things.

The ten thousand things embrace Yin (Darkness, matter)

and express Yang (Light, spirit).
Harmony is achieved by combining these forces.

Ch. 42 of the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tsu

.

From the animal world arises the conscious soul; Eve; Chawa, life (Chaya, Gaia).

Conscious because of being linked, or married to her spirit; the Light; Adam, Atum or Atma,

and is invited by it, to return to the source, the Father,

who started it all in the first place.

This is the great principle of the lightsoul

that is captured in darkness, matter; the body.

This lightsoul, the lost son,

awakens and returns to the Light it is drawn to,

carrying with it the soul it was linked to.

It is like a fisherman casting his line in a lake, catching a fish.

Or even a great conqueror returning to his hometown carrying along prisoners of the war with the enemy...

 "He re-ascended on high, He led captive a host of captives. Eph 4:8 WEY

... the war against Satan, the lower self, the false ego; the king of deception.

It is told in many different stories, myths and legends around the world.

It might be a prince, (spirit) raised as a pauper,

or a princess (animal soul) that has to be

saved by a Knight or a Prince from a Dragon (matter).

.

The key is that we are energy-beings, we are light, but we do not realize it.

Just awaken and follow the Light,

follow your spirit;

follow the one true God.

God is not a trinity of three persons;

.

He is one universal God,

one Lord and Son,

and one Spirit;

.

one God, three aspects;

Father in his infinite heaven

 Son in our Universe-bubble (the Big Bang)

but they are the same Spirit in essence.

God is Spirit.

Your spirit is a ray of God's being and consciousness.

We just name Him differently in different languages and cultures.

And it’s about time we recognize this!

Why else all this wordplay with names

than to show us that

it is the same One god behind it all.

Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality,

but in every nation, any one who fears him and does what is right

is acceptable to him.

Ac 10;34

We are at the dawn of an awakening and this is it;

We all are one.

(or should be)

The message is that man of his own free will shall leave the man-made kingdom and evolve to the God Kingdom. The son of man is to realize his divinity, reveal this divinity in his body and affairs, and become the Christ of God in the Kingdom of God. 'Know ye not that ye are gods?' "Within you, know that this Kingdom of God is the most natural thing in the world. You have but overlooked the fact that if man be in Christ he is a new creature. 'It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom, and every man passeth into it.' The question is asked "When?' the answer always is, 'When the without is as the within, "The great oak tree that sleeps within the acorn became aroused throughout the whole acorn before the tree could develop. 'The Eye hath not seen, nor the ear heard, nor hath it entered into the heart of man to conceive of the things that God hath prepared for them that love him.' "God knows that in the great structure of the universe there is a splendid place for every human being and that each has his individual place. The structure can stand only because each is in his right place. Does not this message lighten the burden of everyone and adorn each countenance with a smile, even those of the weary ones who think they labor like dumb, driven cattle? Thus I say to you, you are an especially designed creation, you have a particular mission, you have a light to give, a work to do that no other can give or accomplish; and if you will open your heart, mind, and soul wide to spirit, you will learn of it in your own heart. There you find that your very own Father speaks to you. No matter how wayward or thoughtless you have thought yourself, you will find that your Father loves you devotedly and tenderly the instant you turn to God within. The anointing which you have of God abides in you and you need not the teaching of any man. Is this not a resurrection from the old thought? 'Ye need not that any man teach you.' It is only necessary to receive the anointing from God that has always been yours. You may accept others as brother helpers but you are always instructed and led from within; the truth is there for you and you will find it. "That truth always teaches that humanity is a complete unit; not a unity, but a great unit; combined with God they are the Great One. Humanity is more than a brotherhood. It is One Man (Ish), just as a vine and its branches are one vine. No one part or one unit can be separated from the whole. The Christ's prayer is 'That they all may be One.' " 'He that hath done it unto the least of these my brethren, hath done it unto me.' Now you know the Christ for whom the whole family in heaven and on earth is named. "The Truth is, 'All is One'; One Spirit, One Body, the Great Lord Body of all humanity. The Great Love, Light, Life of God completely amalgamates that body into One Complete Whole. Etymology of the Word "God"

(Anglo-Saxon God; German Gott; akin to Persian khoda; Hindu khooda).

"God" is variously defined as:

  • the proper name of the one Supreme and Infinite Personal Being, the Creator and Ruler of the universe, to whom man owes obedience and worship;

  • the common or generic name of the several supposed beings to whom, in polytheistic religions, Divine attributes are ascribed and Divine worship rendered;

  • the name sometimes applied to an idol as the image or dwelling-place of a god.

The root-meaning of the name (from Gothic root gheu; Sanskrit hub or emu, "to invoke or to sacrifice to") is either "the one invoked" or "the one sacrificed to." From different Indo-Germanic roots (div, "to shine" or "give light"; thes in thessasthai "to implore") come the Indo-Iranian deva, Sanskrit dyaus (gen. divas), Latin deus, Greek theos, Irish and Gaelic dia, all of which are generic names; also Greek Zeus (gen. Dios, Latin Jupiter (jovpater), Old Teutonic Tiu or Tiw (surviving in Tuesday), Latin Janus, Diana, and other proper names of pagan deities. The common name most widely used in Semitic occurs as 'el in Hebrew, 'ilu in Babylonian, 'ilah in Arabic, etc.; and though scholars are not agreed on the point, the root-meaning most probably is "the strong or mighty one."

During the 7th to 11th century, the awe inspired Masorites considered the name Yahwèh to sacred to be pronounced, so they inserted the vowels of the word Adonai (Lord) into the name IHWH, to remind them to use the word Adonai instead of the name Yahwèh. This form was introduced as Jehovah by Christian theologians in about 1560, but universally disregarded by Jews. Other variations of the name are; Yah, Javeh, Javah and even Jove and Shivah, (the Jeeva is the Hindu word for Soul; life) which in India is explained as Lord of the wind.

And there is more, the same goes for the word Ani; me, used by Jesus.

Ani was also used in the phrase; I am the Lord, ani Yahwèh,

used 200 times when God spoke, in the Old testament.

In Mesopotamia, the Habiru called their mighty one "Il-ani", derived from Il-Anu; the high one Anu.

An, or Anu, as you may know, was the Sumerian/Acadian name for the Holy Spirit.
