Marduk (Bibl. Merodach) "bulf calf of the sun" was one of the names of a late generation god from ancient Mesopotamia and patron deity of the city of Babylon, who, when Babylon permanently became the political centre of the united states of the Euphrates valley in the time of Hammurabi (18th century BC), rose to the position of the head of the Babylonian pantheon. Originally a fertility god, he evolved into a all powerful god of thunderstorms. His consort was Sarpanitu (Serpent).
"Studies of THE "EPIC OF CREATION" and parallel texts, (for example, S. Langdon's The Babylonian Epic of Creation) show that sometime after 2000 B.C., Marduk, commonly seen as a son of Enki, was the successful winner of a contest with Ninurta, son of Enlil, who is called NinAzu in the Myth of Anzu, for supremacy among the gods. The Babylonians then revised the original Sumerian "Epic of Creation," expunged from it all references to Ninurta and most references to Enlil, and renamed the invading planet Marduk.
Nibiru (Marduk) playing havoc with our solar system and NinAzu (Ninurta) bringing about a catastrophical Flood described in the Myth of Anzu are cause and effect of the same event.
In other words; Marduk who, due to the consequences of a wandering planet called Nibiru was able to replace Enlil as King of the gods, actually was Ninurta, or NinAzu, Lord Azu, the son of Enlil. Asar-luhi, or Aza-luhi was indeed a principal epithet of Marduk, the Assyrian Assur, the Egyptian Asar or Osiris. These are all names that point the "one called Aza"; ShemiAza, or Azael who was the leader of the angels that descended on Earth before the Great Flood. The name also points to Zeus; 'Zazel or Azazel was raised to the level of uppergod by the Greek and was held responsible by them for this same flood.
According to the Enuma Elish, an ancient epic poem of creation, Marduk defeated Tiamat and Kingu, the dragons of chaos, and thereby gained supreme power. Held to be the creator of the universe and of humankind, the god of light and life, and the ruler of destinies, he rose to such eminence that he claimed 50 titles, much like the 70 names of (the old) Metatron. Eventually, he was called simply Bel, meaning "Lord."
However, he actually was a red star (or planet) that appeared on the firmament, around the time that Babylon city became an important political center, which also was the reason that he was called the son of the good and wise god Enki, while his deeds point in an other direction.
"O
great gods, learn my secrets
as I
girdle my
belt,
my memories recall.
I
am the divine Marduk, a great god.
I
was
cast off for my sins,
to
the mountains (planets) I have gone.
In
many lands I have been a wanderer;
From where the Sun rises to where it sets I went."
"The red star, which when the stars of the night are finished, bisects the heavens and stands there whence the south wind comes, this star is the god Nibiru Marduk". (not a moon)
-also known as Nemesis.
"When
the stars of Enlil have disappeared the great faint star, which bisects the
heavens and stands, is Marduk Nibiru SAG.ME.GAR; he (the god) changes his
position and wanders over the heavens."
From
Babylonian astrolabes.
The red star went on its way, but survivors, chased away from their habitats in the heavens by it, from other planets or from as close as our cratered Moon, became the incarnated gods that ruled the Earth ever since.
