Mohammed ibn ‘Abd Allah ( محمد, Mohammad, Muhammad, Mahomet, Mahound, lit. the Praiseworthy) was born in Mecca in the year 570, and since his father, Abdallah, died before he was born, he was raised by family. At the age of 25 he married a rich, 40 years old widow that he used to work for, acting as her agent on caravans to Syria. Having become a wealthy man, he felt the need to meditate in the mountains each year for a month. He claimed that it was during one of these times that he was visited by a spiritual being which commanded him to recite a few sentences. Later, Mohammed himself believed he was being demon possessed and tried to kill himself but then again claimed to be rescued by another spiritual appearance, which assured him of his prophethood. According to Muslim history, Mohammed continued to receive messages. He recited them to his followers who wrote them on any objects available such as leafs, rocks or bones even. These messages came as Mohammed had episodes in which he would seem to have seizures. In the midst of these spells, Mohammed spoke as if Allah himself were speaking instead of him. He claimed that his spiritual guide, whom he later identified as the angel Gabriel, (Jibril) funneled messages through his poetic revelations. The Koran (Qur'an) makes it clear that most Christians and Jews of that time believed this behavior to be either insanity or demonic. At first the sayings were short, but later in his life they became quite lengthy.  Mohammed proclaimed unconditional submission to the will of Allah. That is the meaning of the name Islam; submission. Followers were called Muslim, or Islamite, which is Persian for "one who submits himself". 

It is not as if Allah revealed his name to Mohammed. Allah just happened to be the name of the primary deity of his (polytheistic) clan, which in fact was the reason that the name Allah was part of his fathers name; Abd-Allah (friend of Allah). This Allah in these days was commonly known as a moon god who had the stars as daughters. The star represented his daughters al-Lat, al-Uzza en Manat. Today the meaning of the five pointed star has changed into the "five pillars of Islam". This moon god was already worshipped by the Sumerians under the names Nanna(r/n) Suen, Sin and Asimbabbar and his symbol was the crescent moon that dated from 2500 BC. As a symbol of the moon god it was depicted on mural-paintings and on the heads of Persian idols where he was known as the judge of men and gods. In Ur, the birthplace of Abraham, the stèle of Ur-Nammu had a crescent moon above the register of the gods because the moon god was considered the head of the gods. This thriving Moon cult probably was the reason that Abraham, who was the son of the astrologer-high priest Terah, fled from Sumer in search for the promised land after having received a vision from God. During the decline of the moon gods popularity the Arabs remained loyal to their conviction that he was the greatest of all the 360 gods that they worshipped in Mecca, which was in fact built as a shrine to him. It is this shrine that made Mecca the most holy place in Arab heathenism. Being considered the head of the gods, the moon god was named "the god"; al-Illah, (a reminescence of the Akkadian god Ellil) which soon became shortened to Allah. Mohammed never claimed to be the founder of Islam, but he did state that it went all the way back to earlier prophets like Noah and Abraham (even though Abraham would have had nothing to do with a supreme moon god). As such it happened that Mohammed, with the intention of making a stand against the polytheism of his time, took elements of Judaism (Noah, Abraham) and Christianity (Issa; Jesus) and heathenism (moon and star) and turned the name of his highest known god; Allah, a moon god into the name of the supreme being; God Almighty.

After being ridiculed there and after the death of his wife in 622, Mohammed was chased out of Mecca and went to Jathrib, where he became a spiritual leader. Jathrib from then on was known as Madinat un-Nabi, city of the prophet or Medina and the year 622 became the beginning of the Muslim era. A few years later in 630 Mohammed called out a Holy War; a Jihad against Mecca and soon after its fall, all of Arabia was conquered. Soon after his death in 632 the Islam split up into two main streams, - the Sunnites (conservative traditionalists; Saddam Hussain was a Sunnite.), and the majority of Shiites from; Shiá'te Ali; followers of Ali, the son in law of Mohammed and first Imam of the Shiites.

Most Muslims are good people and fine colleagues and follow the words of Allah, thank God.

Many cling to the words of Mohammed.

But are they the words of Mohammed?

Muslims like to accuse Christians of having edited the scriptures. Maybe so, but is well known that the present Koran has been edited from seven original books in seven different dialects (translations). Words from five different languages, such as Syrian Aramaic, Arabic and Greek, were use in the oldest discovered version of the Koran and were sometimes misinterpreted. Same as the Hebrew words of the Tanach, the Arabic words of the Koran originally were written without any vocalization-marks. These vocalization marks, though intended to specify the exact meaning of these words, sometimes were copied in the wrong manner, completely altering the meaning of these words. Not to mention the question if they were applied correctly in the first place.

On top of this, lots of verses were left out of the Koran or were lost for other reasons.

Ibn Omar al-Chat tab, a witness to the words of Mohammed, wanted to add a verse about stoning all adulterous people, which didn't happen since he didn't have any witnesses to confirm it...

He later acknowledges:

“Let none of you say he has acquired the complete Koran, because how does he know it is all there?  A lot of the Koran has been lost; let him say; I have acquired what was available. Suite: Titan, section 3, page 72.

Also on page 72 of that book Asia adds to the story of Ibn Omar;

“During the time of the Prophet the chapter of the Parties counted 200 verses when it was read.  When Othman edited versions of the Koran, only the present (73) verses were included.”

Complete chapters were added or inserted in the Koran.

"It was commonly known that Ibn Masud as well as Ibn Ali Ka'b had written the two chapters "Al Hafad" and "Al Khal" that have been removed from present Koran, collected by Zaid. Ibn Masud declares that the chapter of praise; ‘al Mu’ and 'withatan’ are no part of that Koran. al Itqan” by Suyuti, part 1, page 221,222.

“Uthman burned other editions that were in possession of the people because they disagreed about the correct meaning and they fought each other'.  Al-Buchari (part 6, page 225), Suyuti in “al-Itqan” (part 1, page 270), and Ibn Kathir in “The Beginning and the End” (part 7, page 218).

According to Ibn Hazm, some verses were even eaten by a ... (goat probably). ibid. Volume 8, part II, page 235 and 236. 

Suras uttered by Mohammed, where Al Uzza (Azazel) was seen as a beneficent goddess,...

"Have ye seen Lat, and ‘Uzza, And another, the third (goddess), Manat? These are the exalted cranes (intermediaries) Whose intercession is to be hoped for." Koran Sura 53;19 (an Nadjm)

were, his polytheistic past in view, changed into;

"Have ye seen Lat, and ‘Uzza, And another, the third (goddess), Manat?  What! For you the male sex, And for him, the female? Behold, such would be Indeed a division Most unfair. These are nothing but names which ye have devised, --ye and your fathers, --for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire! --even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!  Nay, shall man have (just) anything he hankers after?  But it is to Allah that the End and the Beginning (of all things) belong. " Koran Sura 53;19 (an Nadjm)

I could be wrong of course but judging by the tone of it, the same guy who changed this sura probably also put in the suras about fighting the disbelievers and smiting their necks and confining lewd women to houses until death do claim them.

It seems that verses of the Koran have been eaten, forgotten, burned or heavily edited.

Mohammed didn't write the Koran; he uttered verses and followers that were present at the time, noted them down, often on rocks and pieces of wood or cloth; anything that was available. It is the people in the direct surroundings of Mohammed; that became authorities in these matters and they are the ones that wrote the Koran. They decided what was to be included in the Koran and what was to be left out. If one of them came up with a verse without having a witness who could confirm that is was uttered by Mohammed, it was voted out. The same as in every other religion, Christianity not excluded, some of these followers aimed to be holier than the Pope, so to speak, and from their comfortable and protected position, they installed far fetched "guidelines" for the mass of believers to live by, like eating sitting down on the floor, going to work by camel and on foot to Mecca, veils; hijabs (headcovering), jalhabs (like overcoats) or burkas (complete covering) for women, circumcision both for men ánd for women, house-arrest or stoning of adulteresses, (it's always the women and never the men), and killing all persistent infidels and converts to other religions.

As a result of this,

* The many alterations in the Koran made by his close disciples have given Mohammed the appearance of a false prophet.

* In stead of voluntary submission to the will of God, there's no freedom of religion and women are being pressed into submission to men.

* It is allowed to drink alcohol and "live in sin" as the unbelievers do, as long as it is "Takfir";

* In crowded places deluded "shahid martyrs" set off bombs tied to their bodies, in what could also be explained as a very cruel and selfish attempt of forcing their way into Paradise by killing as many as possible "nonbelievers" in the name of Allah.

As if this is the will of Allah.

Not even their own fellow Muslims are save from this madness, tragically uncovering the political-, rather than religious motivations of the ones that put them up to it.

The small group of Sunnites that used to rule the large group of Shiites has been put out of business and they want their well payed jobs back.

In other words; It's all about Money and position!

It's all about politics.

Sending others into death and destruction.

Some Muslims incorrectly think that suicidal bombings during war is not suicide but an act of defensive war. They see it the same as fighting with guns or swords in a war. However, shooting in a war, one goes in with the intention NOT to die. Using oneself as a walking or flying bomb, one goes in with the intention of killing oneself. 

The Koran is very clear about this;

Do not kill yourself. ...anyone who does so, will be pushed in fire. Nisa: 5:29

You will not go to Paradise, but your soul will die in fire; that is Gehenna, or; die the second death.

You shouldn't kill at all.

"…It is not for a believer to kill another believer, except by error.  Women - An Nisa' 92

The recompense for he who kills a believer deliberately is Gehenna (sometimes; Hell). Women - An Nisa' 93

Whoever killed a soul, ... it should be considered as though he had killed all mankind. The Table - Al Ma'ida 32

In stead of being the very tolerant religion it always claims to be, Islam has (in some circles) become a very hateful doctrine that imposes death penalties to people turning to the very Jesus (Issa) mentioned in the Koran for guidance.

'Ikrimah said: 'Ali burned some people who retreated from Islam. When Ibn 'Abbas was informed of it, he said: If it had been I, I would not have them burned, for the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Do not inflict Allah's punishment on anyone, but would have had killed them on account of the statement of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him). The Apostle said: Kill those who change their religion. Sunan Abu Dawud, Book XXXIII, Kitab al-Hudud.

Only recently, the interior minister of Egypt insisted that Islam, as the state religion of Egypt, demands that any Muslim man who abandons his faith should be killed. But a Muslim woman 'apostate' should only be imprisoned and beaten every three days until she returns to Islam.

That is what criminal gangs like the Crips, the Bloods and the Maffia do, and Nazi-gangs like the Aryan Brotherhood; kill off anybody who wants to leave the organization and rule by terror.

Muslim missionaries in the West enjoy legal and governmental protection to engage openly in their numerous evangelistic campaigns to win converts to Islam. Saudi Arabia funds the construction of mosques and Wahhabi madrassas world-wide while, at the same time, forbidding the construction of any non-Muslim place of worship within its own territory. It is a crime to distribute the printed text of the gospel of Jesus Christ within its national borders. Time article June 30 2003  Which is pretty astonishing if you consider, that 

Jesus is known in Islam as Yasu' al-Masih (يسوع المسيح ) or Isa al-Masih; Jesus the Messiah, 

The original texts in the Koran read;

       المسيح عيسى ابن مريم وهو رسوه

Which is a 100% correct. Christ is an other word for Messiah, or al Masih. It is derived from the Greek Christos.  And he was a son of Mary and even in the Bible is Jesus called an apostle. (Hebr 3;1)

Someone later on inserted the words (no more than) in the last text, but it's just to show that Jesus the son of Mary is called Christ or Masih by Mohammed in the Koran and in other works.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: I dreamt at night that I was at the Kabah, and I saw a dark man like the most handsome of dark men you have ever seen. He had hair reaching to between his ears and his shoulders like the most excellent of such hair that you have seen. He had combed his hair, and water was dripping from it. He was leaning on two men or on the shoulders of two men doing tawaf around Kabah. I asked, 'Who is this?' It was said, 'al-Masih ibn Maryam.' Then we were with a man with wiry hair and blind in his right eye, as if it was a floating grape. I asked 'Who is this?' It was said to me, 'This is al-Masikh al-Dajjal.' Malik's Muwatta, Book 49, No. 49.2.2 

... only this title in Islam, is commonly said to mean, that he went to heaven and would come back to finish his life at around the same time as the coming of an even greater Al Mahdi. 

Mohammed himself however in Hadiths equated the Masih, with the Mahdi. 

     وقال المهدي وهو آخر سوى اسم المسيح

The Mahdi was only another name for the Messiah - such was the announcement made by Hazrat Ahmad, and in support of this was quoted the Prophet’s Hadith :

      لا بل المهدي المسيح 

"There is no Mahdi but the Messiah."

Ibn Majah, Ch. Shiddat al-Zaman.

So if Jesus is the Masih, he, by the words of Mohammed himself, is also the Mahdi; He is the same one, the One who will set things straight; the Saviour.

This Prophet's Hadith ( حديث a collection of sayings and acts done by Mohammed) for some reason didn't make it into the Koran.
