Lillith or Lilith; לילית. The word Lil in Sumerian stood for both spirit and air, two concepts that have invisibility in common. Lili was the plural form; spirits. (Notice that Lulu stood for human beings.) To the Sumerians lilitu were female demons who caused dysfunctions in sexuality and pregnancy. Their male equivalent were called lilu. They were thought to inhabit desert wastelands and as the word lil indicates, they were associated with the air or wind, which was symbolized by birds, most notably owls, known to move silently through the air. The lilu and lilitu were faceless succubae who could prey on men in their dreams and render them helpless to their sexual advances. This caste of demons were known to the Hebrews as Lilum or Lilloth, considered as an enemy of newborn infants and believed to perpetuate madness and despair, especially regarding unhappy wives and barren marriages. In Rabbinic legend, they were the children of Lillith, who was said to have been Adam’s first wife. http://bahumuth.chaosnet.org/apocrypha7.html Older is the following conjuration dating 600 AD;
The evil Lillith is conquered and sealed away by the talisman of
Metatron, the great prince who is
called the Great Healer of Mercy Vanquished and trampled down are the
bewitching women, vanquished on earth and vanquished in heaven. Vanquished are
the constellations and stars. Bound are the works of their hands. Amen, Amen,
Selah.
The earliest mention of Lillith must be the story where Kiskill- Lila, Kree or Lilitu is invading Inanna's (Ishtar) Haluppu (Khuluppu) tree of knowledge where a Zu bird, a knowledge bird sits in its crown and a snake rests in its roots, much like the birds living in the branches of the Norse World Tree Yggdrasil, in which Odin hang for nine thousand years, and where the evil serpent Nidhogg constantly gnawed at it’s roots.
All kinds of myths were woven around the figure of Lillith. In Talmudic lore, as also in the cabala ("The Zohar"), most demons are mortal, but Lillith and two other notorious female spirits of evil (Naamah and Agrat bat Mahlat) will "continue to exist and plague man until the Messianic day, when God will finally extirpate uncleanness and evil from the face of the earth." Zohar In Scholem's article on one of the medieval writers in the magazine "Mada'e ha Yahudut" (II, 164ff.), Lillith and Samael are said to have "emanated from beneath the throne of Divine Glory, the legs of which were somewhat shaken by their [joint] activity." It is known, of course, that Samael was once a familiar figure in Heaven, but not that Lillith went by a score of names, 17 of which she revealed to Elijah when she was forced to do so by the Old Testament prophet. She is thought to be referred to as the screech owl (Lillith) in Isaiah 34:14. In the cabala she is the demon of Friday and is represented as a naked woman whose body sometimes terminates in a serpent's tail.
Since Samael is often considered to be a name of Satan, it follows that Lillith was considered to be the wife of Satan. In the "Book of Raziel" though, she is called the "primitive Eve," she is said to have had marital relations with Adam, and thus she is regarded as our first parent's first wife. According to Rabbi Eliezer ("The Book of Adam and Eve"), Lillith bore Adam every day 100 children. "The Zohar (Leviticus 19a) describes Lillith as "a hot fiery female who at first cohabited with man", but when Eve was created, "flew to the cities of the sea coast," where she is "still trying to ensnare mankind." "The rabbis read Lillith into Scripture as the 1st temptress, as Adam's demon wife, and even as the mother of Cain." Rf. Thompson, "Semitic Magic; Christian, "The History and Practice of Magic." While commonly regarded as the creation of the rabbis of the early Middle Ages, an earlier mention of Lillith occurs in a 10th century anti Jewish satire called the "Alphabet of Ben Sira") which shouldn't be taken too seriously, but may point to some truths never the less.
The story goes that Lillith, proud as she was, though being made of sediment and excrement, refused to lie beneath Adam (read Atum), who wasn't as (street)wise as she was, so she "R.U.N.N.O.F.T." with an other guy named Samael (read Satan). This of course is the same old theme that pops up each time Satan, the lower Self is involved. It is the lower Self that refuses to join with the inner Light. Lillith, (Nature) turns away from Adam Kadmon, and sticks with the lower animal urges, the Adam Belial or Samael. .
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every animal of the field and every fowl of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. And Adam gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field. But there was not found a suitable helper for Adam. Gen 2;18
After having been introduced to the Kingdom of Nature; Lillith, it was obvious that in none of the animals could be found a suitable vehicle for Adam; a higher Self of the soul; the Atma.
The Atma; the inner light simply couldn't connect to the animal soul with its lower urges; the lower self. The connection was too instable. So another connection was made by means of an "interface" so to speak. Adam receives a wife, Eve, who was taken from him, who was more like him; the higher Self of the soul; the enlightened part of the human soul.
And the LORD God made
the side (which He had taken from the man) into a woman.
Gen 2:22
MKJV
The stories of Adam and Eve, same most other stories in the Bible, originally were passed on verbally in Parable form, which made them easier to remember by the audience. These Parables were about the Spirit of God; the Light and its effect on humans living in a material world, so to understand these matters you have to think in terms of light. The word Tsel, which is usually translated with Rib, actually means side. If you look upon Adam as a form of energy; a Light shining in mercy water, than the center of this light would be Adam, where the Light of the Atma is at his strongest, and the darkened edge, the side connected to matter, would be Eve; the human soul.
In the beginning, my Father descended to the physical plane and lived on it as the first man, Adam. His wife, Eve, was the Mother of our Souls. Testimony of Mary 2;8
All this is about the higher Self and the lower self; From now on Eve, the higher Self is connected to Adam; the human spirit or the Atma. Samael, read Satan, the lower self is connected to Nature; Lillith or the body.
The higher Self (Eve) is like being married to the inner Light, the human spirit; Adam, the Atma or Christ and has its echo in the "saved group of souls" being called the Bride of Christ (the last Adam).
"Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb." Re 21:9
This Human soul; Adam/Eve, is capable of leaving the physical natural body behind at death, and continuing his journey towards enlightenment by reincarnating into other, suitable bodies and moving on to next levels, or even to Paradise itself, where the merging with the light is complete.
And that is the story with Adam and Lillith.

Pagan and Wicca cults like to believe in a Mother god and this is understandable. Gods Spirit is considered male when penetrating the soul (and the whole of Creation for that matter), but as a whole the Holy Spirit present in this Creation is considered female; acting as a womb within which the whole of Creation is coming to development. The Shechina also is considered female and may even be compared to the Sumerian "goddess" of the primal waters Nammu, who is presented as the first of the Sumerian gods. These stories originated from before God the Father had revealed Himself to Abraham who lived in Sumer at that time and is the ancestor of the Jews, Christians, Islam and Indian Brahmin. The Hidden God first created the waters; the realm of our dimension with a Big Bang, followed by the birth of our Cosmos, which in fact looks like an Egg floating in turbulent water, like most Galaxies do on a smaller scale.
"He, desiring to produce beings of many kinds from his own body, first with a thought created the waters (Sum. Nammu) and placed his seed (Egg of Brahm) in them." Laws of Manu.
Not many people know that this Fathergod is also known in Pagan and Wicca cults.
Then the
great father-god said:-- Gospel (Vangelo) of the Witches; The Goblin Messengers of Diana and Mercury.
But in general they like to stick to the concept of a Mothergod. Diana was the first created before all creation; in her were all things; out of herself, the first darkness, she divided herself; into darkness and light she was divided. Lucifer, her brother and son, herself and her other half, was the light. Gospel (Vangelo) of the Witches. How Diana Made the Stars and the Rain.
Diana is often equated with Dana or Danu. According to Celtic mythology Danu was the mother of the "Tuatha de Danann"; which is translated with "the children of Danu". All kinds of myths have been woven around these mythical beings in Celtic folklore. According to the Book of Invasions and the Book of Leinster however these Tuatha de Danann were descendents of Japhet, the son of Noah.
Magog, son of Iafeth,
of his progeny are the peoples who came to
Magog was the grandson of Noah who escaped the Great Flood, and Noah lived in Mesopotamia, in Sumer, where An, or Anu was the Great god in the Sky, if you will, but his name literally meant Spirit. He is sometimes even called Holy An, thus Holy Spirit. As you know, Noah in that time was called Uta Nu Pishtim and the one who warned him to build an Ark was Enki, the son of Anu. Noah, the chosen one, telling his grandkids stories of his rescue, would never have called this savior's Father a goddess. In Jewish religion there is only one God and He is Male. There is indeed a goddess named Anu in Celtic mythology whose name however can only be reminiscent to Anu the Fathergod. Diana, Danu, (sometimes explained as De-Anu, belonging to Anu, the Spirit, the bringer of Light.) whom she then would have belonged to. But his spouse was called Antu; wife of An. Anu was also married to Ki, the Earth. Anu and Ki were born as twins of Nammu the goddess of the Primordial sea, but it does not sound as if these were the names from which the name Danu was derived. Even the name Tiamat (Tehom) is unconvincing. It is more likely that Danu is a misinterpretation of dAnu, which is the Sumerian way of writing down the name of Anu, the fathergod. The Sumerian word for 'god' is dingir, Akkadian ilu. The sign to represent this, is the same as AN heaven, or spirit, and also used as a determinative (classifier) attached to the name of the deity to indicate his/her divine nature. In transcription the sign is represented with a d from dingir in superscript. It is not pronounced however. Enlil's name was written as dEnlil, Anu's name was written as dAnu, and Ea's name as dEa. (Dea in Latin means goddess.) Misinterpreting dAnu as Danu or Diana, the goddess and personifying her with Nammu the mother goddess of the Sumerians, as well as with Ki; Mother Earth, they would have come to the idea that Lucifer, the light bringer was her brother as well as her son. Due to yet another misinterpretation, namely that Lucifer was an other name for Satan, who was kicked out of Paradise for his pride, they identified Satan with Anu and that is where it really started to blur. Diana greatly loved her brother Lucifer, the god of the Sun and of the Moon, the god of Light, who was so proud of his beauty, and who for his pride was driven from Paradise. Gospel (Vangelo) of the Witches.
Anu was never kicked out of heaven, let alone for his pride, so they must have erroneously, or willingly made a reference to Satan, who to this day still is mistaken for Lucifer.
"In the beginning, there was a great darkness. This great darkness covered all and was all, and its name was Diana."
"Of a
time that cannot be measured, Diana came to Titania.
The
lovely
Lady of the Silver Wheel
descended to earth
from the country of the
moon."
"One day Diana went hunting in the forest with her dog. She paused to rest beside a pine tree. It was here that the horned god PAN saw her beauty and fell in love with her. Diana changed herself into a hare, but Pan caught her in his teeth and carried her to the foot of an old oak tree. There the goddess and god made love. Diana loved Pan and forgot the country of the moon." Ref.
Pan, or the horned god Cernunnos (Cronos), alter egos of Enlil not only looked and walked like the Devil, they of course were the devil, the god of animal soul; the lower self. Anu never fell from heaven but Enlil did. If only for being banished to the underworld for "raping" Ninlil.
Like the Bible says; The tree is known by its fruit, and that certainly applies to Diana. According to the Gospel of Witches Diana had a daughter named Aradia, who was the first of the witches, to whom she taught the "art of poisoning" and other nasty things that leave little to guess about the "good intentions" of those Witches. (I'm not talking about your elderly female herbalist.)
Thou shalt be the first of witches known;
And when a priest shall do you injury Gospel (Vangelo) of the Witches It seems like Paganism and Wicca are indeed designed to worship Satan and elevate him to the level of God Almighty. All this was based on a 1899 book by Charles Godfrey Leland; Aradia, a.k.a. the gospel of the Witches, that has been adopted by Pagan and Wicca cults as a true gospel. * These are a few of the names which have been associated with the Goddess. .

That Isis is listed in this list may be more than wishful thinking. The moon also is connected to Isis who possessed great skill in the working of magic; When she wished to make Ra reveal to her his greatest and most secret name, she made a venomous reptile out of dust mixed with the spittle of the god, and by uttering over it certain words of power she made it to bite Ra as he passed.
So Isis here is identified with Brigget (the strong one; Az.), the Wicca goddess of the witches, and Danu or Diana. It may be obvious, that Diana, Danu, Brigget or what ever she is called, married to Lucifer, that they thought was Satan, or Pan, or sometimes Samael, since he was driven from Paradise for his pride, is the same as Lillith. Lillith was Mul-Liltu, Ninlil, the wife of the Sumerian uppergod Enlil, the god of the ghosts, the god of animal soul; Satan. Lillith had a lot of names; My first name is Geos, (earth) second Edilta, third Lambros, fourth Martlos, fifth Yamnos, (Yamm; sea; Canaanite name for Leviathan) sixth Samyos (ShemiAza), seventh Domos, eighth Dirba, ninth Apiton, tenth Pegogha, eleventh Zardvech, Lillitha; (Lalitha, wife of Shiva), Malvitha, and the strangling-mother of children." Gaster Lillith is also called; Obizuth which could refer to; Abu, the Babylonian snake, and Zu, (or Ziz) the bird god that stole the Me from Enlil. Together with Lillith, the snake and the bird (Peacock) were living in the Hulluppu tree. . Abeko, Abito, Amizo, Batna, Eilo, Ita, Izorpo, Kali, Kea (Gaia), Kokos, Lillith, Odam, Partasah, Patrota, Podo, Satrina, Talto...Lillith is also named "Astaribo" in medieval magic..."Avitue" in rabbinic lore..."Bat Zuge" is a term for the evil Lillith when she is regarded as the 10th of the 10 unholy sefiroth or divine emanations issuing from the left side of God. Rf. "The Zohar" In the Testament van Salomon Kali (Black one; goddess of destruction) of course is another name of Durga (the inaccessible), the wife of Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction and regeneration, ... as in reincarnation. The menacing goddess Durga, also known as Parvati (Mountain) or Lalitha (Beauty; although in Arab Lillith means Dark one.) Shakti (energy) or Devi, (goddess) the embodiment of matter, energy, and illusion is the wife (consort) of Lord Shiva and exists in various divine (both friendly and fearful) forms. She may be nice or nasty.
Shiva Poseidon/Neptune An important attribute of Shiva is the trident, which also was the attribute of Poseidon or Neptune, the god of the world ocean; the universal waters. We know it as the symbol of Satan. Satan is the energy, the animal life-force that is within all material earthly creatures, which actually is why he is called the "god of this world". Satan is about reincarnation; as long as people keep reincarnating, people stay under his dominion. When people ascend, when they leave this illusive world of endlessly reincarnating they are drawn from his dominion and move on in evolution. Satan is not the one who decides whether we would reincarnate or not , but he sure is the one who'll see to it that we do.
To deny the similarity with Satan, all kinds of different explanations are given to the Trident. It would be a Fishing spear, or a symbol of the three heavens, a powerful weapon or just the number three to indicate the All, etc, etc., while in fact the three teeth of this trident represent the pillar of light; the life-force; Universal Soul piercing the Snake of Matter, thus producing living beings.
* Perhaps the best modern description of Lillith, Danu, Diana, Bridget, Kali or whatever name you give her, would be "Nature" in all her beautiful but cruel aspects. Though she looks beautiful, Nature is no Paradise, but a harsh environment ruled by "dog eat dog" laws and governed by the Laws of Nature, designed to insure the continuation of life. Which in fact is a good thing, but only to a certain point. These laws will get you so far, but in the end they will keep you from reaching a higher goal. Sexual drive for instance, a tool to ensure the continuation of the species (which is good), combined with intelligence, can easily lead to all kinds of perversions (Which is bad).
The basic fear of going hungry or the urge to be a "good match", combined with intelligence can easily lead to greed, violence and stacking up way to much wealth. On the other hand, if you show to much compassion, love or unselfishness in this world, and obey the Laws of God, you better walk cautiously or be "eaten alive". It is these fears that keeps most people from gaining the Spirit of God and ascend to higher levels, which should be the goal of every human being. Have a little faith.
