If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell (Gehenna). Mt 5:29

If therefore your eye, even the right eye, is a snare to you, tear it out and away with it; it is better for you that one member should be destroyed rather than that your whole body should be thrown into Gehenna. Mt 5:29 WEY(1912 Weymouth New Testament)

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Gehenna). Mt 10:28

And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. Mt 10:28 WEY

But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell (Gehenna) of fire. Mt 5:22
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into

hell, (Gehenna) to the unquenchable fire. Mr 9:43
And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into

(Gehenna); yes, I tell you, fear him! Lu 12:5
And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is an unrighteous world among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the cycle of nature, and set on
fire by hell (Gehenna). Jas 3:6

Gehenna, here mistakenly translated with Hell, is not a place of confinement, but (can be) a place of destruction. It is another word for the "second death"; when after the death of the body, which is the "first death", the sinner's soul itself dies, causing him to die a second time in a "Pit of blazing fire".

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. Re 20:14

This second death is named after "Gehennom", the waste dump, the Valley of Hinnom, situated outside the southwest gate of Jerusalem, also called the Dung Gate. Unclean animals and waste were burned there, and lepers scavenged the refuse. Gehenna had been the site of pagan human (child)sacrifice and the final resting place of the bodies of executed criminals.

Having died a second death, nothing remains of the person that used to be. The energy that formed the soul flows back and merges with the earth's reservoir of (animal) life-force called Gaia by the Greek. Gehenna is located in the Tartaros and both are comparable with the Hindu Avichi.
