What did the Holy One, blessed be He, do? He saw that they, AZA and AZAEL, were misleading the world. He bound them with chains of steel in the dark mountains. Where are they situated? In the valley of the mountains. He placed Aza there and threw the darkness in his face. When the Holy One, blessed be He, bound them, he provoked the anger towards the above. As a result, the Holy One, blessed be He, dropped him in the depth to his neck and threw darkness in his face. He placed Azael, who did not provoke the anger, next to Aza and illuminated the darkness for him. Balak : 43.
Aza and Azael, "falling down, but having his eyes open" Verse 421.
During the ages, Magicians, adepts and wannabe wizards apparently were bold (and/or stupid) enough to visit these fallen angels in their imprisonment to get some advice or to gain knowledge. (See below)
This
is the manner of the one who reaches them. As soon as a person enters there,
between the mountaintops, Azael, that one that is called "having his eyes
open" (Bemidbar 24:4), notices him. He immediately informs Aza. They then
give the sound signal and the great burning snakes gather to them and surround
them. They send a type of small creature called 'Onimta' towards that person. We
were taught that it is a cat-like animal with a narrow snake-like head. It has
two tails and its hands and feet are tiny. A person who sees it covers his face
and brings a vessel with ashes that is called "smoked shreds" from the burning
of a white rooster and throws them in front of the Onimta, which then comes with
him. He goes until he reaches the top of the chains, because the top of those
chains is stuck into the ground and reaches to the great depths. In the great
depths, there exists a socket that is stuck into the lower depth, and into that
socket the top of the chains is connected. When a person reaches the top of the
chain, he knocks at it three times. They, AZA and AZAEL, call for him. He then
kneels on his knees, bows down and continues to close his eyes until he reaches
them. He then sits up in front of them and all these snakes surround him from
either side. Then he opens his eyes and sees them. He is shaken, and he falls on
his face and bows towards them. Following this, AZA and AZAEL teach him magic
and sorcery, and he stays with them for fifty days. When the time arrives to
leave on his way, that little creature called 'Onimta' and all these snakes walk
in front of him, until he leaves the mountain ranges from in between that heavy
darkness. Balak : 46. Aza and
Azael 495
AZA and AZAEL were Nephilim, Watchers, or Grigori; tall human shaped angels (Ishim; men) that revolted against God and were imprisoned in underground caves.
And now to the Watchers, who have sent you (Enoch) to pray for them, who in the beginning were in heaven, Say, In heaven have you been; secret things, however, have not been manifested to you; yet have you known a reprobated mystery. And this you have related to women in the hardness of your heart, and by that mystery have women and mankind multiplied evils upon the earth. Say to them, Never therefore shall you obtain peace. 1Enoch 16;2
Before the Egregori rebelled and descended from Heaven, (those that would have children that would live thousand years) (Giants) a prison had been build for them in the depths of the earth, under the mountains. Before the sons of the giants were born, thirty-six cities were prepared and build, so the sons of the Giants could live therein. Kephalaia 117;1-9
Adam is said to have lived in such an underground cave and several Indian tribes say they came from such caves.
These underground places seem to be levels of Hades which on its turn is a level of Gaia, the basin of animal soul within the Earth.
These underground caves as well as their dwellers show great similarity with the Halls of Amenti described in the Emerald tablets of Thoth.
It should be noted that the Yerida mystics of the Merkaba tradition, the Yoredey Merkaba, are always talking about "descending" to the Heykaloth, halls of heaven. The Hebrew word "yarad" means "to descend", or "to depart" at most. When returning from there, the word "alah" is used; "to ascend".
When he enters at once, they will praise him for shore, saying; he belongs to the Yoredey merkaba! But if it is not appropriate for him to descend to the Throne, when they tell him to enter and he enters, they will throw a thousand bars of Iron upon him.
