The oldest stories we know stem from ancient Sumer, the place where after the great flood, civilization began; later this land was called Mesopotamia; “between the rivers”.

Following scriptures, Abraham (Abram) was born in the north of Mesopotamia (1906 BC), probably in or near Ur or Nahor, a few miles away from Ur.

where his father Terah was born. Abraham had two brothers; Haran and Nahor who also were born in that neighborhood and had cities named after them. The other Ur, in the south, would be on the wrong side of the river Euphrates for Abraham to be born in. Nimrod was the first king of Babylon, and builder of the tower of Babel. Abraham was born in this time and Nimrod sought to kill him.

The sages tell that when our forefather Abraham was born a star appeared, which swallowed up four other stars from the four sides of the heavens.  When the astrologers of Nimrod saw this they forthwith went to Nimrod and said,  “Nimrod, of a certainty there is born to-day a lad who is destined to inherit both this world and the world to come. Now, if it is thy wish, let us give his father and mother a large sum of money, and then kill him. Whatever his father and mother wish shall be given to them.”  “What kind of child is he whom you seek to kill?” asked Nimrod. “A boy," said they, “was born to-day, and a star appeared which swallowed up four stars of the heavens, and he is destined to inherit this world and the world to come.” Chronicles of Jerahmeel 34;1

Another story relates that Abraham was born a few years later, under the reign of Ninus, son of Bel, son of Nimrod.

Abraham was born in a family of "idol worshippers". Sara, (princes) daughter of Haran (Jasher 9;1) and the wife of Abraham, was named after Sarratu, (Acadian) the wife of the moon god Sin. Milka (queen) the daughter of Haran was named after Malkatu, the daughter of Sin; the goddess Inanna or Ishtar. These names can be found in the Moon cults of southern Mesopotamia and of Haran in northern Mesopotamia.

The family must have moved down to Babel in the cultural center of  Mesopotamia, to live in Kuta, Kutha or Cuthah, represented by the mound of Tell-Ibrahim (Hill of Abraham) 15 miles northeast of Babylon. It probably was there that Abraham had his first vision of God, who told him to move to the Promised Land.

This had quite an impact on Abraham. He started preaching the One God and was known to smash and burn idol statues wherever he found them. Terah must have fled the thriving moon cults that weren’t to pleased with Abraham preaching another god than the Sumerian upper god Enlil.  The story goes on with Abraham being hidden in a cave by his father Terah after which Abraham went to Noah as an apprentice.

Noah was saved by Yahwèh from the Flood, and was the same as the Sumerian Uta-Noa Pishtim who was saved from the Flood by Enki.

Then the LORD (Yahwèh) said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation. Ge 7:1

It stands to reason that this Yahwèh and Enki are the same and that it is this Yahwèh that led Abraham out of Mesopotamia. Enki, the firstborn son by right of Holy An, the Holy Spirit became the Patron angel of Israel and was called Michael; who is like God.

Years later, after his return, Abraham burned the idols Terah had made. Terah took him to Babel near Ur, to see Nimrod, who threw him in a burning furnace out of which God himself saved him.

It is here that Abraham was saved from the fire (Ur in Hebrew) of the Chaldees.

This must have convinced Terah of the righteousness of Abram.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan; but when they came to Haran, they settled there. Ge 11:31. RSV

Abram became rich in knowledge and material goods, and due to his journeys, his teachings spread through out the known world.

Abram had great wealth of cattle and silver and gold. Gen 13;2

Abraham was rich in cattle, silver, gold and in all the wisdom of “hermetica” and astrology, which he had acquired in Egypt from Pharaoh’s magicians, so that there was none so wise as he. From Egypt these sciences spread over Greece. And Abraham was able to foretell the future by the observance of the stars, and was very wise in astrology. He taught his magic science to Zoroastres, The philosopher … Abraham was exceedingly great in magic, so much so that all the kings of the East and West waited upon him.  Chronicles of Jerahmeel 35;4

Abraham’s teachings were of great influence to the Jews and the Christians,

but also to the Islam

The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah--the which We have sent by inspiration to thee--and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus.  Koran; Sura 42:13

As well as the Hindi.

From Abram were descended the Brahmin that, like all Jewish tribes took on the name of their Patriarch. These Brahmin became the elite class of priests spreading this new religion throughout India.

And Abraham took another wife named Keturah. She became the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah…Now Abraham gave all his property to Isaac; But to the sons of his other women he gave offerings, and sent them away, while he was still living, into the east country.   Gen 25;1

These tribes, following the silk route on their way East came across a region called Bactria.

Bactria, a region of ancient Afghanistan, has come to be called Balkh; A northern province of Turkistan in modern Afghanistan, which boarders to the north, the river Oxus and the former USSR. It is said to have been the locality of a prototypical Jewish nation called Juhuda or Jaguda. Zoroaster (Zoroastres, Zeradust, or Zarathustra.) was born in Bactria so it is very probable that he was influenced by the teachings of Abraham.

The tribes expanded and they took their teachings, their knowledge and wisdom; the Vedas along silk routes further east into India, (and probably into China) and became known as the Brahmin; descendents of Abram. (All Jewish tribes were named after their Patriarch.) They were worshipping a more or less abstract Father God; which literally translated into Brahm, the exalted father; Ab ram. Gradually, in India, the metaphysical Father God became identified with the more personal creatorgod Prajapati, who was married to Vac, the Word. After that, it did not take long before he and his wife were given the names Brahma and Sarasvati; as a reminder of Abram and his first and foremost wife Sara (princess). (Keturah he married after Sara's death.)

The Brahmin became the elite cast of priests in India. This fact, however, combined with hear say, led to the believe of some people, that Abraham must have come from India.

This was said by Voltaire, who probably had it from Flavius Josephus, who wrote that the Greek philosopher Aristotle, who in his turn had probably heard it from Megasthenes, who was sent to India by Seleucus Nicator, about three hundred years before Christ, had said that the Jews were an Indian tribe or sect called Calani.

But the name Calani was derived from Chal-dea, the land of their origin, the land where Abraham was born.

These (tribes) were the Aryans that "invaded" India and brought the Vedas to this country in which Brahma; Ab Rama, the exalted Father was first mentioned.

They didn’t just bring religion, they also brought script…

Sanskrit;

Sanskrit is the ancient literary and classical language of India, the sacred language of the Hindu religion. Brought to India from the northwest about the middle of the second millennium B.C.

Vedic Sanskrit;

The oldest form of Sanskrit is known as Vedic Sanskrit, after the Vedas, the ancient hymns of the sacred Hindu scriptures that were brought to India by the Aryans. Though Sanskrit is an Indo-European language, it is written in an alphabet known as Devanagari. To trace its origin is to trace the development of writing in India. The source of most of the Indian alphabets is an ancient script known as Hrahmi which, in the opinion of most scholars, is of Semitic origin, probably Aramaic.

Language Family;

Indo European (Aryans are considered Indo European tribes.)

Subgroup;

Indo Iranian (The Aryans came from ancient North Iran, or South Persia; or Assyria, or North Mesopotamia, which all is the same area.)

Branch;

Indic

Abraham here clearly is the common factor.

He originated the religion of the One true God of the Jews, the Christians, Muslims Parsi, Hindi and Buddhists, which are all branches of the same tree.

Since his father was a priest of royal descent, Abraham must have been well acquainted with Sumerian creational myths.
